Well here I go....
Yesterday, whilst on the toilet, shortly after returning from a weeks holiday in the oh-so-sunny climate of Dawlish Warren, England, a thought dawned upon me.
For it was then that I reminded myself of a year-old intention which I suddenly felt compelled to fufill. That Intention was to create a Blog.
I do not know why I posessed this wish, after all social networking has never had any appeal to me, and apart from a (once used) joke account on facebook and a twitter account on which the dust has well and truly settled I have no experience of the social networking world.
This is not because of a lack of tech-saavyness (damn media buzzwords), but because of the sheer idiocy of the whole idea.
Do I really want everyone who has ever spoke to me to know that I went to the shops yesterday? And do I really need to know that Stephen Fry is having a dump?
These critisizms may seem strange here, after all I am creating a blog, something which thrives upon an audience; but they stand never the less.
I also realise how late in the day my arrival to the world of virtual diaries and stories is, I am well and truly past the stage at which an arrival may have been given the cliched title of fashionably late.
But then again with all of the cool kids moving on to less taxing and content-light ways of keeping track (Such as the often championed twitter), I can now safely create a blog with no fear of joining the blind crowd that now join all internet developments (and apple products).
I do not have any aims for this Blog, and I do not know if it will suceed. It is a forray with no clear plans or objectives, yet it is one that I am willingly and happily making.
I do not even know what I intend to include here yet, but all will become clear to both me and any readers in the near future
